How to Make a Timetable Online

Master schedule creation in less than five minutes with our step-by-step walkthrough.

1

Choose a Starting Point or Template

You can either start from scratch with a blank timetable or pick one of our 12+ ready-made templates (such as the Standard School Week, College Weekly Timetable, or Study Planner). Click the Templates button in the top toolbar to browse presets.

💡 Tip: Choosing a template loads default period times and sample subjects, saving you 80% of manual setup time.
2

Set Days and Period Times

Use the left sidebar controls to enable or disable days of the week (e.g. Monday to Friday for schools, or Monday to Sunday for study routines). Click Add Period to configure custom bell times or lecture blocks in 24-hour format (e.g. 08:30 to 09:45).

3

Add Classes & Color Code Subjects

Click the Add New Class button or hover over any grid cell to click the plus (+) icon. Enter the subject name, teacher/professor, room number, and choose a color from our 8-preset palette or pick any custom hex shade.

4

Rearrange with Drag and Drop

Need to reschedule? Simply click and drag any class block to another time slot or day. TimetableMaker automatically adjusts start and end times and checks for overlapping conflicts.

5

Download PDF or Print

Click Download in the top toolbar to export an A4 landscape PDF, a high-resolution PNG image, or click Print to print directly. The export strips away all UI buttons for a pristine final timetable.
